Brad’s career passion has been science storytelling. He currently serves as the Manager, Communications and Engagement, at the Faculty of Health and Social Development at UBC Okanagan. In this role, he helps tell the stories of innovative research conducted by faculty in the Schools of Health and Exercise Sciences, Nursing and Social Work.

Prior to his role at UBC Okanagan, Brad worked for close to four years on the Communications and Engagement team at the Interior Health Authority, including two years as the Pandemic Response Communication Lead. This included the crafting of messaging on the public vaccination campaign, COVID-19 testing, and safety guidelines for healthcare facilities.

Before moving to the Okanagan in 2018, Brad lived in Victoria, BC, and worked as the University of Victoria’s Awards Facilitator in the Office of the Vice-President Research and taught business communications in UVic’s Gustavson School of Business. He was also a member of UVic’s Speakers Bureau, giving talks to community and government groups on the science of habit formation.
