Equity Education Advisor, Gender Equity and 2SLGBTQ+ Education

Andrea Clegg is the Equity Education Advisor (Gender Equity and 2SLGBTQ+ Education) in the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic). In this role, Andrea works to advance principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in relation to 2SLGBTQIA+ members of the McGill community.

Andrea holds graduate degrees in urban planning and social work and has extensive experience working in the community and education sectors. Their work includes placements at Project 10 (a 2SLGBTQ+ youth organization), and CRARR (Center for Research-Action on Race Relations). Andrea is co-author of the journal article “Working with Parents of Gender-Variant Children: Using Social Action as an Emancipatory Research Framework.”

Andrea’s interests include 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, housing rights, social welfare, photography, and creative non-fiction.
