Carla DeMarco is the Research Communications and Grants Manager at U of T Mississauga (UTM), and has been working in research administration since 2006 and in communications since the 1990s.

As part of her role at UTM, she reviews grants and supports the UTM research community in its various endeavours. She writes profiles of UTM researchers for the web and social media outlets, publishes SURGE, UTM’s Research Office quarterly newsletter, and works on award submissions. In 2017 Carla created VIEW to the U, which is a monthly podcast she produces that features UTM faculty members from a range of disciplines.

She is currently pursuing a Masters in Information Studies at U of T’s iSchool. She’s a frequent reader, a sometimes runner, and forever introvert trying to bust out of her introspective inclinations.
