The past year saw plenty of social media gaffes and controversies, petitions and protests, complaints and expulsions on Canadian campuses. Students behaved badly in videos of frosh chants, in supposedly private Facebook groups, and on anonymous gossip and chat sites. We heard about cyberbullying of students, professors, and student politicians, and a wide range of sexism and sexual harassment.
