Born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Jason DelMarr moved to Montreal to attend the Design Art program at Concordia University. He got his start producing graphics for television, and has since created the visual identity and built and managed the online presence for many cultural startups and institutions, notably Pop Montreal, Canadaland and McGill University.
During the years transitioning from paper to pixels, he has had the good fortune to be recognized for a few achievements, notably: 2012 Edustyle Best Redesign Award, Tourism’s Best in Quebec 2011 (Pop Montreal), 2011 CASE Communication Award, and Print Magazine’s 2005 Certificate of Design Excellence.
Currently, Jason spends his days as a developer at McGill University. His work aims to connect design principles through code and help others refine their processes and improve delivery by adopting the Agile framework. He lives close to St. Viateur Bagel shop and prefers the sesame seed variety.
