Dorothy is the Senior Content Officer for the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria (UVic). As the senior writer and editorial planner for the school, she works to support and enhance connections with a wide range of stakeholders including alumni, community and business leaders, donors, advisors and partners.

Dorothy has more than six years’ experience in communications. Since 2020, she has held progressively senior roles at UVic including News & Social Narrative Coordinator (Communications and Marketing), Communications Officer (Faculty of Science), and Senior Communications Officer (Ocean Networks Canada, an initiative of UVic). Prior to that she worked for several non-profits in Victoria, BC and taught English in Guangzhou, China.

Dorothy holds a BBA Marketing and AA English from Camosun College, as well as certificates from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and the Camosun College Music Program. She is still actively performing as an anthem singer, belly dancer and actor. One of her favorite theatre credits is Nellie in the Victoria Symphony’s Broadway Spectacular (’12).
