Dan Browne is a media creator and communications specialist working at the University of Toronto’s Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society, which develops integrative research and solutions to help ensure that advanced technology makes the world a better place for everyone.

He holds a PhD in Communication and Culture from York and Toronto Metropolitan Universities, where his dissertation explored the integral relations between media and environment.

Dan is also an award-winning multimedia artist who has presented his films and videos at more than 120 festivals, cinemas, and galleries internationally.
