Chantal is the Communications Officer, Internationalization for the Student Success Office at the University of Waterloo. Through web, social and print, she helps build a vibrant international student experience for current and incoming students. Her favourite part of the job is learning and incorporating cultural nuances into her work.

In 2019, Chantal was a recipient of Waterloo’s Staff International Experience Fund. She travelled to Hong Kong to broaden her understanding of communications strategies at some of the world’s most internationalized universities to enhance programming and services at Waterloo.

Before working in higher education, she studied Global Development Studies at Queen’s University and held a variety of communication and project management roles in the non-profit sector.
