Anureet Kaur is a Toronto-based sustainability professional, public speaker, writer, and professor, specializing in the intersection of technology, sustainability, and responsible business practices.

As the first appointed Sustainability Manager at Softchoice, a World Wide Technology Co., Anureet leads the development and implementation of the organization’s sustainability strategy. She also co-chairs Softchoice’s Employee-Led Group, Sustainable Softchoice, and has spearheaded initiatives such as the company’s first ESG Report, greenhouse gas reporting, and the launch of the sustainability literacy training program.

Anureet’s current research interests include sustainable procurement, building trust and transparency in sustainability communications, and the adoption of environmentally responsible AI. 

In addition to her work at Softchoice, Anureet teaches the social pillar of ESG at Seneca Polytechnic’s ESG Executive Certificate Program and has been invited to teach social impact at the University of Toronto. She designs progressive courses on climate justice, mental health and well-being, the future of work, and DEI. Her approach integrates somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and well-being, equipping students with tools to manage burnout and climate anxiety.

Anureet is deeply committed to a just and sustainable future. She continues to advocate for Canada’s equitable, low-carbon economy and, most importantly – the inclusion of Indigenous voices and wisdom in sustainability strategy as a path to true reconciliation.  She serves as a board member of TakingITGlobal, an organization that delivers youth engagement programs that empower young people to understand and act on local and global challenges.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto and is the recipient of the 2023 Alumni Award from the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Institute for Management and Innovation.

Born and raised in Dubai, Anureet enjoys exploring nature trails, listening to podcasts, and delving into spirituality. She practices meditation and reflects on the interconnectedness of all life. Anureet envisions a world where collective consciousness fosters deeper compassion and empathy for all beings.
