How we shot 18 months of social media content in 5 days!

In February 2024, a work-term student in our digital content creation program landed in our lap unexpectedly. We had her for just five weeks, which isn’t a lot of time in the grand scheme of things.

She had a dynamic personality, and we took full advantage of that to finally launch our own Social Media Ambassador program. We thought it would be a campaign lasting only a few weeks on social media as a mini takeover series, but it quickly grew into something more.

For the first time ever, we had content that people were really engaging with, and tangible proof of why this type of content is important.

This led to another first: we invested in a social media campaign that included a 5-day shoot on the other side of our province. After these 5 days of dedicated filming, we had enough content to publish one reel each week on our social media channels for 18 months!

How did we do it? Did we expect to have that much content in the can after just 5 days? How did we make it seem like we were filming weekly instead of bulk filming in advance? What were the results?

All these questions and more will be answered in this presentation.
