Dr. Microsoft or How I Learned to use Microsoft Lists and love my Editorial Calendar

I manage student-facing communications, including Instagram, newsletters, and event calendars. With multiple peer-led groups, staff programs, and a countless student clubs constantly submitting updates, I initially struggled to keep up with scattered emails and ineffective spreadsheets.

To streamline this process, I turned to Microsoft Lists—an often-overlooked tool in our Microsoft 365 suite—to create a collaborative system where contributors update their own news, transforming our calendar into an efficient editorial tool. In this talk, I’ll share how this approach improved workflow and engagement.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • What is Microsoft Lists
  • How to create an Editorial Calendar on Microsoft Lists
  • How to customize your Editorial Calendar
  • Integration and automatization possibilities with Microsoft 365
