Walk away having learned new techniques on how to build a web page with rock-solid strategy.

We, as colleges and universities, build new web pages, modify existing ones, and counsel colleagues on their pages countless times throughout the year. This session will focus on how we can simplify web page strategy in order to meet the tremendous demand.

Let’s talk about the “F Pattern” and whether it still applies or if the “T Pattern” is relevant. Where should we place our call to action? How should we prepare the user to click it? How do we measure the success of that specific page?

These strategic questions will be covered and will arm you with the information you need to efficiently build strong web pages. I’ve personally implemented these strategies throughout a number of institutional web pages for our clients and have seen their user engagement increase significantly.

We’ve all been in meetings where a department has specific ideas about how to lay out a page, but it’s our job to make sure that page performs. You’ll be able to take these strategies back and spread them through campus. In the end, you’ll be able to turn that one-hour content meeting into a productive working session that ends with a strong wireframe and follow-ups for both teams.
