Delta Montreal

Enjoying good food and good company at a downtown hotel

Bright and early on July 13, attendees are welcomed to the Delta Montreal (475 Av du President-Kennedy) for breakfast and registration. Situated a block away from the Eaton Centre and a block away from McGill, the Delta provides a modern and flexible backdrop for meals, networking, discussions, and larger lectures. The Delta is the perfect jumping-off point to explore Montreal during breaks or to relax and unwind with a view. Attendees can also find themselves with a space to work – and catch up on those emails – or enjoy a quick meal during the conference.

Tanna Schulich Hall & 8th Floor Conference Room

Taking in keynote speeches in a vintage-style concert hall teamed with modern interactive panels

Once attendees have had their fill of breakfast and networking, opening remarks at Tanna Schulich Hall kick off. Tanna Hall, located within the Schulich School of Music at McGill (and less than a block away from the Delta), will be hosting the majority of the larger lectures at the conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet our sponsors and soak in the keynote speeches, set in an elegant concert hall fully equipped with interactive screens to allow audience members to engage in person and virtually.

In addition to Tanna Hall, some sessions will also be held in the 8th floor conference room and lounge.

McGill's New Models of Work Office

Exploring the new ways we work post-pandemic

McGill’s New Models of Work Office at 550 rue Sherbrooke West hosts a litany of pre-conference workshops. It begins with a workshop on magnifying social media impact and concludes with training on creating diverse and accessible spaces in communication and marketing. The Office, launched in October 2021, grew from the evolution of work brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It recognizes the changing work realities by experimenting with new hybrid arrangements, work cultures, and workspaces. Within The Office, you can find two-hybrid meeting spaces – the Three Bares and the George Edward Bomberry – that allow for dynamic discussions in a hybrid setting.

  • Directions: McGill’s New Models of Work Office is located in the Tour Ouest/West Tower, 550 Sherbrooke Street West, Room 680.
  • Address: 550 Sherbrooke Street West, Room 680 (rue Sherbrooke Ouest), between Union Avenue and Aylmer Street (rue Aylmer), south side of the street.

Throughout the conference, we hope that the three venues will emulate the attendee’s experiences from networking to hybrid group discussions to lecture-style learning. We can’t wait to see all of you and rebuild those social connections that we’ve missed during the pandemic!
