Cheko'nien House

Enjoying good food and good company on campus

Bright and early on July 12, attendees are welcomed to the Cheko’nien House for breakfast and registration. Situated next to the student residences, the Cheko’nien House provides a modern and flexible backdrop for meals, networking, discussions, and larger lectures. Cheko’nien House is also situated close to the UVic Bus Loop, the campus hub for public transit in Victoria.

  • Location: The Cheko’nien House is located on the east side of campus, in section 3D of the campus map

Clearihue Building

Once attendees have had their breakfast and networking and following opening remarks in the Cheko’nien House and the Clearihue Building – one of UVic’s original academic buildings on campus. Flashback to your student experience as summer sessions swirl around you and take your seats for these classroom situated lectures and presentations.

Please note that while ten minutes should be plenty of time for a “class change” between sessions, moving between Cheko’nien House and Clearihue Building will require you to cross Ring Road and get to your seat promptly to facilitate the schedule.

All Clearihue sessions are located in wings A and C (with most being in wing A).

  • Location: the Clearihue Building is also on the east side of campus, just inside “the Ring” (Ring Road) across from Cheko’nien House and next to Parking Lot C (section 3C on the campus map). It’s the building with the clock!
