Evening Social Events

Pre-Conference Social

July 11    5:00 to 9:00 pm

A pond surrounded by trees features a large spray of water on the left side. In the background is a long brown building with outdoor tables & umbrellas.

If you’re in town on July 11, join us at UVic’s University Club. Mingle with other attendees over apps and cocktails on the banks of the club’s picturesque pond.

Official Social

July 12    6:00 – 9:30 pm

A large white building with many windows sits on the corner of a street. The building looks antique with older style architecture and window shapes. It features a patio with tables and red umbrellas on the sidewalk on the left side.

This year’s social will be held at Bard & Banker, just steps away from the stunning Inner Harbour in downtown Victoria.

Shuttle service will be available to transport attendees between UVic campus and the venue.

Enjoy a custom menu, drinks and good conversation in the historic setting of a converted former bank. Pop out for a few minutes during or after the event to take in views of the Empress Hotel, Parliament Buildings and other historic sites that line the harbour!
